1. About Maine Farmstands
Maine Farmstands (“we,” “our,” or “the Directory”) is a free, community-driven online directory that maps roadside farm stands, driveway egg sellers, honor-system tables, and other hyperlocal sellers across Maine. The Directory is operated by Saysirara LLC, a Maine limited liability company.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Maine Farmstands website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
3. Nature of the Directory
Maine Farmstands is an informational directory only. We do not operate, manage, inspect, or endorse any stand, seller, or product listed in the Directory. Listings may be submitted by stand owners, community members, or compiled from publicly available information. A listing in the Directory does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement of, or guarantee regarding the listed stand or its products.
4. No Warranties
THE DIRECTORY IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING: the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any listing information, including stand locations, hours of operation, product availability, or pricing; the quality, safety, legality, or fitness of any product sold at a listed stand; the safety or security of visiting any listed stand location; the licensing, permitting, certification, or regulatory compliance status of any listed stand or seller; or the uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site.
5. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY MAINE LAW, SAYSIRARA LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO: your use of or reliance on the Directory or any listing information; any transaction, interaction, visit, or experience at or with a listed stand; any theft, property damage, personal injury, foodborne illness, or other harm occurring at or related to a listed stand; any loss of revenue, customers, or business opportunity experienced by a listed stand; or the actions or omissions of any third party, including stand operators, visitors, or other Directory users.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Saysirara LLC and its owners, operators, officers, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or any listing submission you make.
7. Community-Submitted Listings
Maine Farmstands allows community members to submit listings for stands they have personally visited or are aware of. By submitting a listing, you represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge; the stand you are submitting is a publicly visible, roadside or driveway-facing operation that invites public patronage; you are not submitting the listing for any malicious, harassing, or harmful purpose; and you understand the listing will be reviewed by our team before publication and may be edited for accuracy or clarity.
8. Stand Owner Rights
If you are the owner or operator of a stand listed in the Directory and you did not submit the listing yourself, you have the right to request removal by contacting us at info@saysirara.com and we will remove your listing promptly, no questions asked. You may also claim your listing to gain the ability to edit, update, and enhance your listing information, or request corrections to any inaccurate information. We aim to process all removal and correction requests within 48 hours.
9. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Directory to stalk, harass, or harm any stand owner or operator; plan or facilitate theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity; submit false, misleading, or spam listings; scrape, harvest, or bulk-copy listing data for commercial purposes; or interfere with the operation or security of the Site.
10. Intellectual Property
The Maine Farmstands name, logo, site design, and original content are the property of Saysirara LLC. Individual listing information (stand names, locations, product descriptions) is community-contributed and factual in nature.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on the Site with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Maine.
